Isabelle King, LCSW
PSYCHOTHERAPIST | VIRTUAL IN NEW YORK & OHIO
For the peace-keepers, perfectionists, and overthinkers who want relief…not just control.
Less fixing. More feeling. That’s the work.
LET'S GET CURIOUS.
LET'S GET CURIOUS.
People who:
Think “if I just try harder, it’ll feel better”— but it never does.
Apologize before they even need to.
Avoid conflict even when it hurts.
Care deeply about others— often at the cost of themselves.
Carry experiences from the past that show up in the present.
Feel things intensely but don’t always know why.
Live in their head because it may be feel safer than going into their body.
Have done some of “the work” before but feel like something deeper hasn’t shifted yet.

Individual Psychotherapy
Something brought you here. Maybe it's exhaustion, anxiety, or a sense that you've been managing for so long you've lost touch with yourself. Individual therapy is a space to slow down, get curious, and finally understand what's been driving the patterns you're ready to change.
-
Wedding Intensive Therapy
Getting engaged is a big deal. So is everything it stirs up. The wedding intensive is a short-term, focused program for individuals who want to navigate the emotional side of engagement and early marriage — the family dynamics, the identity questions, the relationship patterns — with intention and support.

Insurance + Billing
I'm in-network with Aetna through Alma. For all other insurance plans I'm considered an out-of-network provider and can provide you with a superbill to submit for potential reimbursement — many clients are surprised by how much their plan covers.
50-minute session — $200
75-minute extended session — $275 (EMDR and deeper trauma processing work)
Where I do my deepest work:
Complex Trauma & C-PTSD — Anxiety & Overthinking — Perfectionism & People-Pleasing — Burnout & Chronic Stress — Relationship & Attachment Patterns — Self-Worth & Identity
I also support people navigating:
Depression — ADHD — Life Transitions — Family Dynamics & Boundaries — Insomnia & Sleep Issues — Wedding-Related Stress & Early Marriage Transitions
Change doesn’t come from trying harder.
It comes from understanding yourself differently.
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
